When most people think genocide they think of the holocaust. However they forget the genocides that have happened since or even one which is currently occuring.
A genocide has been ravaging the region of Darfur, Sudan, for around three years. Many of you may not know about this because it has received little media coverage. This space is dedicated to spreading awareness of the genocide and encouraging anyone, anywhere, to take action and petition your respective government to save the lives of men, women and children currently living in Darfur.
Various websites with information about the genocide exist. One of these is:

This website is also currently sending online postcards to the President of the United States, George W. Bush asking him to take action in Darfur. To send your own postcard simply go on the link above and follow the instructions.
