When we first met, I thought you were another college party animal that I would only know as a cute smile. But then during a tough time, we came together for about two weeks, working side by side and I saw the real Melissa. And I was shocked, amazed, and thankful! OH MY GOSH, the first time I met you, I thought little mouse. You could not look at people, talk, or even cough their direction. Then little by little I convinced you to sing in front of strangers. Then every time we saw each other, I would have you sing. Not to them, but to me, with them listening. Soon enough, you were dominating the scene. I have only seen you preform a few times with your school but I was amazed every time. But what about the times at your house, I was leaving around 10pm. Then I started recording you singing, next thing we knew, it was almost midnight. I have never once gotten tired of your voice. I would not mind if you had a soundtrack of Le Mis, Rent, and Chicago. Oh and maybe even American Idol. One day you will make it in Broadway, and I better get an invite to your first show. FOB, what up bro? Looks like you blew up, 6 foot something. Where did that come from? So little D playing video games all the time killing the competition is now a singer, producer, and editor. I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. In church you sang good, but not great. Now you produce your own music. I have to admit I really like Boys II Men, Brian McKnight, and others but at times, you put them to shame. I know there are a lot of talented singers out there, but you my friend have something they don't have. PASSION. Don't lose it. If ever there was a true wedding singer, you are it.
