Fran Bove, Irish/Italian sports coach, sportsman (ish), musician and collector of jumpers with holes in grew up in a small market town renowned for its antique shops.
He first picked up a guitar having experimented with the recorder, violin and piano and quickly realised that this was truly the instrument for him and embarked on a year of lessons with guitar maestro Max Milligan.
After this year Max moved on and so did Fran, teaching himself guitar with play along Oasis and Blur books. At the age of 16 Fran joined his first band "Arthur Baker's Sunday Jam" a 9 piece funky covers band who were just getting succesful when University split them up. On arriving at university Fran realised the easiest way to continue performing was to go it alone and quickly began to play gigs in open mike nights and even performed in the VIP lounge of one of the most popular student nights in Birmingham.
"Fiction Fire" (his first album) is the result of three years of university and a lifetime (well 22 years) of experiences.... experiences in the outdoor industry, in love, out of love, in friendship and in life. Recorded in a university practice room because the acoustics gave a raw sound (and there were no studios free) Fiction Fire was availabe as a limited run and if you search hard enough you may just find people with copies of the album! If you like Fran's music... tell people, leave a message and spread the word. Fran wants to spread his music as far as he can take it, but he can't do it alone, he needs you, your help to make it work. SPREAD THE WORD
