In June 2004, DJ Gamble founded his Production Company, DJ Gamble Music. He has been producing original tracks ever since and has already seen incredible success and development in the quality of his beats. As a DJ, he has an uncanny ear for great music. This presented the perfect opportunity to exploit his talent and pursue production.
You cant pinpoint Gambles style; his strength lies in his ability to create musical masterpieces that can fit artists from the East, West, down South and outside the US. He currently produces for several up and coming artists in both NYC and LA, and he plans to continuously connect with talented artists, managers and record labels by supplying the music industry with the hottest, freshest production.
History
DJ Gamble started his DJing career at the top of New York Citys nightclub circuit. He began DJing in 1995 and has been honing his skills ever since. His first big break took place New Years Eve 1998 at the legendary Tunnel Nightclub in Manhattan, when he opened for Hip-Hop pioneer DJ Premier, the headliner. This appearance led to an occasional Friday night guest spot with DJ 007, the Tunnels resident Hip Hop DJ for both Friday and Saturday nights.
At the same time, DJ Gamble was showing his love for the NY underground at the Nuyorican Poets Café. He became the resident DJ for the monthly, renowned open-mic night, All That. There he witnessed some of the best, yet-to-be discovered talents in NYC.
These contrasting venues helped DJ Gamble gain a well-rounded view of nightlife and the music industry. He was exposed to both NYCs mainstream, hot club scene and the trend-setting NY underground that would later become tomorrows mainstream. During these years, the young DJ built a deep collection of vinyl records and gained valuable experience behind the turntables, learning how to move crowds of all walks of life. His resume grew and he DJed various NYC venues, which included Exit, Viscaya, Taj, Chateau, and 205 Club, among others.
In September 1999, DJ Gamble moved to Boston. He spent the next 4 years making his mark on the city, earning a 2-year residency at Venu, an 8-month residency at Aria, residencies at Trio and Modern, and guest spots at Avalon, Karma, and the Paradise Club. In 2003, he returned to his NY birthplace and has since resumed doing guest spots at the hottest clubs and lounges in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Anyone who has witnessed this versatile, gifted DJ knows that once DJ Gamble gets to work, the party-goers really get to work.
