We are interested in reaching out, to serving Jesus, to reading the Word, to learning more and more about my faith, my God, and my world. We are just interested in continuing the journey and running the race...as Paul exhorted the Church in Phillipi:I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward--to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back. So let's keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision--you'll see it yet! Now that we're on the right track, let's stay on it. (3:12-16 Message)
We would love to meet anyone who is referenced above, anyone who loves the Lord, who wants to serve Him, or is just curious enough to see what we are talking about. As in Acts, we want people to come to Jesus, but to come to Him because of our actions and NOT because of our words."They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers. Everyone around was in awe--all those wonders and signs done through the apostles! And all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that each person's need was met. They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved." (Acts 2:42-47 Message)Is there anything more awesome than that?!?

Okay, so do we have to say The Bible?!?! Isn't that a given?! But it is a great thing to read every day...perhaps, a read through, as we are presently planning, or perhaps what we are trying to do right now (based on Ron Frost's book, Discover the Power of the Bible), read the same book every day for a month (right now, it is Galatians); which is a great way to begin to appreciate His Word and allow Him to speak, in a living, breathing way into your life. Max Lucado, John Elderedge, Ted Roberts, Jack Hayford, Brennan Manning, C S Lewis, Oswald Chambers, John and Sonja Decker, Phillip Yancey, Andrew Greeley, Graham Cooke, Joel Osteen, Bruce Wilkinson, John and Pam Vredevelt, Evelyn Diment, Fr Oscar Lukefahr, Billy Graham all have books on our shelves...
God, our Father and Maker, as before He laid down earth's foundations, He had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of His love (Ephesians 1:4 Message) Jesus Christ, His Son, who told us simply: "This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you" (John 15:12 Message) His Holy Spirit (who) speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we are God's children (Romans 8:16 NLT) and all of His servants, disciples, martyrs, saints, and lovers who went before us and showed us how to answer His call---Peter, Paul, John, Augustine, Brother Lawrence, Teresa of Avila, Francis of Assisi, Mother Theresa, Billy Graham
