Although a new name in the music scene, Michael Fugitt is no stranger to the road. He spent 2001 – 2005 touring with the group UN1ON, accumulating over 100 shows a year across the United States. Touring with John Reuben as well as sharing the stage with names such as Switchfoot, Audio Adrenaline, Kutless, Skillet and many others, Michael has had the opportunity to gain a well rounded taste for the Christian music scene. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI he now resides in Sioux Falls, SD seeking to spend his time taking part in various gospel work.
Musically, Michael Fugitt offers everything from energetic hip hop, to slow emotional based songs such as "Moments Like These" which is the type of music people normally listen to when they are in the mood for something other than hip hop. This song is featured on his new EP and is effective in illuminating those bittersweet moments brought into being during life's tragic times.
Heavily inspired by the late Keith Green, Michael Fugitt has a common goal of sharing the greatest message ever given to mankind, while at the same time encouraging believers to step out of their comfort zones to share the gospel to an ever-dying world around them. "God's called you to share His immeasurable worth, but you'd rather acknowledge yourself and build treasures on earth" is a line from one of Michael Fugitt's poem's which is included on his debut EP. "The world around us is dying and we (believers) are more concerned about what tv show were going to watch that day than souls perishing. We all, including myself, really need to wake up and see the urgent need. Hell is forever, but God's grace is available to all. Jesus died for all sin. Lets tell the world it's so." Thats me. Now, I'd love to hear about you!
