About Me

Winnie the pooh and Satan

Don't believe everything you think.
"Your anguish sustains me." - Stewie Griffen : )
"I live my life in such a way that when my feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders and thinks, 'Oh no. She's awake.'"
"There's always one who loves and one who lets himself be loved." - W. Somerset Maugham (1874 - 1965)
"People with courage and character always seem sinister to the rest." - Hermann Hesse
“I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.” - Robert McCloskey
"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." - Aristotle
"Those who are unhappy clutch at shadows, and to give themselves an enjoyment that truth refuses them, they artfully bring into being all sorts of illusions."
"Live life in such a way, that if anyone should speak badly of you... No one would believe it!"
"No one plans to become mediocre. Rather mediocrity is the result of no plan at all. If you want to lead an extraordinary life, find out what the ordinary do - and don't do it" - Tommy Newberry
"When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew." - William Shakespeare (He too believed in love at first sight! :)
"I like to write when I feel spiteful. It is like having a good sneeze." - David Herbert Lawrence
"Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body..."
"Half the world is composed of people who have something to say and can't, and the other half who have nothing to say and keep on saying it." - Robert Frost
"Strangely enough, this is the past that somebody in the future is longing to go back to."
"Please don't lie to me, unless you're absolutely sure I'll never find out the truth."- Ashleigh Brilliant
"What do you take me for, an idiot?" General Charles de Gaulle (1890-1970), when a journalist asked him if he was happy.
"You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down." - Mary Pickford
"You see the smile that's on my mouth It's hiding the words that don't come out And all of my friends who think that I'm blessed They don't know my head is a mess"
'The Story' - Brandi Carlile
"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first...Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life." - A. Souza
"...life isn't happily ever after and golden sunsets and shit like that. It's work. The person you love is rarely worthy of how big your love is. Because no one is worthy of that and maybe no one deserves the burden of it, either. You'll be let down. You'll be disappointed and have your trust broken and have a lot of real sucky days. You lose more than you win. You hate the person you love as much as you love him. But, shit, you roll up your sleeves and work - at everything- because that's what growing older is."
'Mystic River' - Dennis Lehane
Something from the brilliant mind that is Eckhart Tolle:
Whenever two or more egos come together, drama of one kind or another ensues. But even if you live totally alone, you still create your own drama.
When you feel sorry for yourself, that's drama.
When you feel guilty or anxious, that's drama.
When you let the past or future obscure the present, you are creating time, psychological time -- the stuff of which drama is made.
Whenever you are not honoring the present moment by allowing it to 'be', you are creating drama.
Most people are in love with their particular life drama.
Their story is their identity.
The ego runs their life.
They have their whole sense of self invested in it.
Even their -- usually unsuccessful -- search for an answer, a solution, or for healing becomes part of it.
What they fear and resist most is the end of their drama.
As long as they are their mind, what they fear and resist most is their own awakening.
Mad Girl's Love Song - Sylvia Plath
"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
The stars go waltzing out in blue and red,
And arbitrary blackness gallops in:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed
And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:
Exit seraphim and Satan's men:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
I fancied you'd return the way you said,
But I grow old and I forget your name.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)
I should have loved a thunderbird instead;
At least when spring comes they roar back again.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)"

Books:

I adore reading! My absolute favorite is Nora Roberts. I don't care if it's a cliche to read romance novels... I love hers! I also like Stephen King, he's got such a twisted sense of humor! And Dean Koontz is always a classic... His "Lightning" is probably one of my most favorite books of all time. And everyone should read 1984.

THE SECRET

I also really enjoy reading Eckhart Tolle and his "The Power of Now". It makes complete sense so I try to live my life like that. I try! It's hard... but realizing that what has happened in the past, doesn't truly matter, and that there is really no need to fret about the future... that can be a very liberating feeling. All we have is right now, so we better make the most of it! Stop worrying about petty stuff.
It DOESN'T matter!! :o)

One of my most favorite poets of all time is Edna St. Vincent Millay .
She wrote some powerful stuff!

Stop being such a bitch.

Dr. Laura is amazing... I LOVE her bluntness.  It's so refreshing because most of us can and do just talk and discuss things to death, looking at things from every single different fucking angle ...
