It would be easier to name what I don't like. I found that even in the few genres I don't really dig on, there will usually be at least a few songs I can groove to.A wise woman once said that we all have our own internal rhythms, and when we don't like a type of music or a particular song, it is not because the music itself sucks, but just that it doesn't go with our own bodies internal rhythm. I'm gonna have to agree with this one. Cuz I used to always say that the songs I loved the most were the ones that I didn't just hear, but it was like I felt them deep inside my body. And I've always kind of felt my body cringe when I have to listen to something i didn't like. I also think that our bodies natural rhythm changes as we get older, which would explain why a lot of my girls have gone from once being so into hip-hop to now being easy-listening radio junkies(they don't even like old school anymore, sad). I've been fortunate, the older I get the more my internal rhythm seems to expand, allowing me to appreciate more and more different types of music, while still keeping my old favorites.Ok, maybe some of it too, is that folks don't always got an open mind. They get so caught up in what they think they like, that they don't open thier minds to see if maybe something else would fit thier body rhythm.just my opinion
Horror, action, comedy, drama, cartoons, foreign films(especially Bollywood), indie films, documentaries, old classics, and I'm a sucker for dance fliks.Let's just say my Blockbuster card is givin me my money's worth.
Graphix Pimper
If you know me, then you know I got tired of payin for cable and pulled the plug. So the only T.V. shows I get to see is the ones on DVD at Blockbuster. Current favorites are "Nip Tuck", "Desperate Housewives", and "Lost"
My library card gets an even bigger workout than my Blockbuster card. Chick lit, trashy romance novels, with some nutritional fiction thrown in(Alice Walker, Toni Morrison, etc), the occasional classic, a little non-fiction to elevate the mind, and a couple of shelves of poetry books.
