SCHEME
GO-GETTAZSCHEME’S BIOGRAPHY:
Alberto L. Ocasio, better known to most as Scheme was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on the 12th of August during the mid 80’s. He moved to Brooklyn at about age two and remained there until his early teens, where he then moved to The Bronx. When asked where home is, he proudly replies "Brooklyn, East New York." He attended Manhattan Center for Sci & Math and has been making beautiful music since his junior year in High School.
He developed a love for the art through favorite past times such as writing poetry, spoken word and short stories. He first began rhyming amongst rappers such as Cue, Trife, Fokis, Blaze, A.T.I., Peligro, Streetz, Mayor, DaVincci and Hollow-Tip of GMC (Get Money Crew), as well as many others. Often he was credited with witty punch lines as well as a sharp distinct flo.
At first rapping was something he did simply for enjoyment. It wasn’t until the end of his senior year that he began to take things serious. He along with Cue and Fokis formed S2N (Second 2 None). Due to complications, the group eventually split. For quite some time he rapped as a soloist until he was recruited by Trife and Blaze. The three formed NBA (New Breed Assassins) with Troof as their producer.
Eventually it was time to move on to the real world and for reasons unknown to many besides Scheme and a few others, he did the unthinkable . . . he joined the military.
While in Japan, Scheme met Homicyde and Statmaster and eventually formed the Go-Gettaz. Later Scheme recruited Rekon and Theral - Bread. DJ Tivo is his official DJ.
Thus far Scheme along with his squad, have made a name for themselves in Japan and Africa by receiving radio play and performing at various night clubs. When asked about The Go-Gettaz, Scheme quickly replies "My squad is extremely diverse. We come from all over the world, thus giving us different styles. We are all nasty in our own right and whats even better is the fact that we complement each other."
Scheme is currently working on creating the same buzz for himself as well as the Go-Gettaz across the states while continuing to lock it down overseas.
He has worked with, and is a close friend of, Grammy Award recepient Cabal, as well as DG, P. Rima, and Vic, all of Team Pro Hip Hop. He performed in various nightclubs throughout Brasil to include Urbano’s, Ebano’s, Club Joy, Hotel, L.ove, and many others.
Scheme is currently in New Delhi, India and has performed at clubs such as Tapas, Mirage, and Odyssey. He will also be a part of this year’s Urooj Music Festival. He is currently in the process of starting his own studio. Over the next few months he will be working with ZooMoozik on continuing to receive worlwide exposure. Scheme is hungrier than ever and has a lot planned for 2008. Stay tuned . . .
