At a young age, Breeze Mantana, moved around a lot, he was born in Yonkers, moved toMt. Vernon, then Manhattan, and even lived in Virginia for a brief stint. Returning back to Mt. VernonWashington Elementary did'nt want to let him back in, but to no avail. Confidently he feelsthe new school of hip-hop will have no choice either. At age 9, as a quiet youngster, he did'nt like being around people much, so he dabbled in writing rapsbut his main niche was drawing, but two very important things inspired him to open up with the music. One being a trip to legendary producer, Pete Rock's house, a Mt. Vernon native. "The floor wastotally covered in crates, I never wanted to leave." The secondary being four christmas gifts, Big Pun's"Capital Punishment, Fat Joe's "Don Cartegena", Camron's "Confessions of Fire", and DJ Clue's"The Professional part 1". That's when he started to take rap seriously. He started to read thedictionary to build his vocabulary, never once revealing himself, till he knew he could outrhyme anyone.Thru a mutual friend he met with another ambitious spitter, Capacity, and started a crew called"F4 Politics". "Me and Cap, just started smashing everybody." The buzz got around Mt. Vernon Highquickly, to the point Breeze would get pulled out of class to battle in the courtyard, and this iswhere he ran with a two year winning streak. The battling scene wasn't enough, he wanted to reallymaster his artistry. He met up with a local producer Spunk Bigga, who taught him song format andintricate bar arrangement. Taking that wisdom he started putting out official mixtapes with BackdownEntertainment. "We was the only dudes putting out official mixtapes with covers." , till the crew grewtoo big and eventually went their separate ways.Moving once again, to Rockland County in the summer of 2004, after not recording for almost awhole year, he met up with Sha from Enta Da Dorm, spitting a 16 over the phone, which laterbecame "Check Please" on the "914" mixtape, he became certified "Frat Life". "I look at Sha and D,as older brothers, I'm comfortable where I'm at, and its Enta Da Dorm for life." "I learned a lot from myexperiences with other crews, to almost being signed, I'm ready." With 914 the mixtapedropping in the summer of 06', and spreading around the tri-state, his current "If I Was Signed To Star Trak"mixtape doing well, and garnering a buzz, he is preparing for his debut mixtape album, "The Devil Wears Prada".The project will be an in depth look into the deceptive and tempting allures of the street, on all levels, personal to general.Sometimes unstableness has a purpose, to clearly define the correct niche you want to be in. The constantmove enables for more various experiences, providing a keener insight to know good from bad. With hip-hopfans being taking for a ride, Breeze plans on being that future experience for listeners, that future insightto know good from bad, hot from not.
