Hi, I'm Stacy... and I'm awesome at life!

About Me

I'm a capitalist. Let business men and women focus on business, and let charitable organizations help the needy. Gov't should focus on the only two jobs that the Constitution allows them the prvilege of focusiong on- interstate commerce and national defense! Dammit! Nowhere in the Constituion does it say to worry about (and spend taxpayer dollars) on Education (Europeans spend thousands of dollars less than the US does per student, and based on standardized testing, their kids know more than US students and are better prepared for life), Social Security, Prescription Drugs, etc. Did you realize that Medicare Part D is going to BANKRUPT this country? We are STEALING from our children's future by paying out entitlements faster than the money is coming in- the baby boomers are retiring, and people aren't having kids like they used to, which means that pretty soon the tax base will not be large enough to support all the entitlements our gov't has promised people. And once you start paying an entitlement benefit, you can never take it back. FDR was the WORST president ever! Social security was the beginning of the end of our illustrious economy, and our entire society! Did you know that 70% of the entire federal budget will be spent on Social Security and Medicare in the next 30 years or so?! Our children are going to inherit this debt, and it's going to absolutely CRUSH them! The entire US economy will eventually collapse under its own weight! It's the same thing that happened to the Roman Empire- the administrative burden of running the empire became just too large and unmanageable, and the entire society eventually collapsed. The similarities between what's happening in our American society and what happened to Rome are astonishing.

My Interests

Great conversation (even above average conversation is better than talking with an idiot), going out with friends, trying new places to eat, the arts. And I like to stay (very) active, travel, see new places, and find out as many new things about this world, the people in it, and all the different places there are to visit as I can possibly fit into each and every day!

I'd like to meet:

A real live saint, someone like Princess Diana or Mother Teresa Music Video Codes By Music Jesus.com

Music:

Good girls got-to-be down wit tha gangstas. Nelly Furtado. R&B. Jazz.

Movies:

Gone with the Wind, duuh.

Television:

The Weather Channel- because I want to know the weather every day, and because I want to be the weather girl! But that's all- I make it a point to not watch too much tv... besides the fact that I can't really sit still that long. (Is that bad? I don't think it's bad, some people might, but I think it's a good thing. You get a lot more accomplished when you're not wasting your time watching tv... unless it's porn. Porn doesn't count.)

Books:

I'm reading this sociology book right now about the history of marriage and how it's been different things over different periods of history- how people used to in Victorian and prior times, marry for policitcal and economic reasons, not love, and how in tribes in Africa, marriages are arranged in ways to make enemy tribes friendly tribes by their family ties- for self/tribe preservation. And I'm still reading Crime and Punishment, I can't make my way thru it, it's very depressing. I'm also still trying to see if Odysseus makes it home safely after all those years at sea. But my favorites of all time(I've read at least 3 times since they're so good) are To Kill a Mockingbird, The Picture of Dorian Gray, A Separate Peace, and East of Eden. (I thought about naming my kids Atticus and Phinaeusm but Lee wasn't down with it.)

Heroes:

People with big happy families who have happy marriages and good kids.
