About Me

Locdoor’s began his music career in 1989. He began writing and producing tracks at age 13 under the influence of his father (songwriter & producer) named Royal Bayyan. At 16 got his first big break with a song he wrote called “Heartbreaker”. It was released on Color Me Badd’s first self titled LP in 1991 and went 6x’s platinum. Locdoors a 16-year-old genius continued to learn as he grew into a talented music producer. In 1993 he helped produce a reggae group called “Shorelines Gang” who released a single and a video on Blackstone Records entitled “Body Moves”. Following was an underground single entitled “Hot 2 Deff” released by AP Records for a group called “Uknotted Nationz” in which Locdoors was also a member of.......................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ .................................. In 2001 he co-produced 4 songs on Freddy Jackson’s album entitled “Life After 30”. In 2001 he worked on 2 Pac’s album entitled “The Rose That Grew From Concrete” which he co-produced, arranged, and mixed 9 songs. On that album he produced songs for Dead Pres, Lady Luck, Mos Def, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Nefertiti, Danny Glover, Nikki Giovanni, Roy Ayers and many more. Three songs where placed in the movie "Tupac's Resurection; "Family Tree" performed by Impact, "Dedicated to ..." performed by Dead Pres and "Pride in the Panther" Performed by Mos Def)........................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ................................In 2001 he co-produced a re-make song entitled "Let Me Make Love" for the group “Transitions” on the Essence Compilation Album for Universal Records. During the summer of 2000, Locs toured as a member of ‘Mos Def’'s band along with Will Calhoun, Doug Wimbish & Weldon Irving (they covered over 25 states in the U.S alone and performed in London, Paris, Amsterdam and France). In 2004 Locdoors made his film de-but in the Blockbuster hit movie entitled "Fulgazi" Starring 'Talent, which is currently available @ your local Blockbuster Video stores. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ...........................This album also targets the true Hip Hop audience. This Lp is sending out a call to the last surviving MC’s in the game, asking to help bring and end to the so-called “ice Age “ of Hip Hop… We need more realistic and motivational music for the next generation to grow.
