Spring Day, left her hippie parents in Kansas in 2001 and came to Tokyo to make people laugh. A native English speaker and fluent in Japanese, Spring's set covers Tokyo life, padded underwear and Japan Tobacco, the family back home, international marriage, John Lennon, cerebral palsy, peek-a-boo, SMAP and a million other things that fall in between.

In 2003, Spring Day did her U.K. tour performing at various clubs in London including the Comedy Bunker and Mirth Control. She then took her act up to Manchester and played at The Buzz. She also caught up with her stand-up sempai, the very funny Paul Betney. If you are in the U.K., go see his show!

In 2004, Spring performed for packed audiences in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, opening for Japanese comedian, Zenjiro.

Spring performs regularly for the Tokyo Comedy Store. She is the MC for the Tokyo cynics stand-up show at the Baron in Roppongi and performs at the Maple Leaf and at the flagship show at The Crocodile, both in Shibuya.

Influences

Bill Cosby, Eddie Izzard, Paula Poundstone, Bob Newhart, Roseanne, Richard Pryor, Paul Betney, Cloudy Bongwater, Ron White, Amy Sedaris, and Wild Hair Bill, my Dad.

Main Show ???·???
Performance in English / ??????
Do you want comedy? Well, we've got it for you! In English, right here in the Big Mikan! The Tokyo Comedy Store performs live comedy in English once a month, at the Crocodile in Shibuya. Show charge is 2000 yen, plus one drink minimum (like that'll be a problem!). Head up Meiji Dori towards Harajuku from Shibuya station, and you'll find it on your right.
The first half of the show features stand ups, original sketch comedy by the TCS Players, and sometimes jugglers, musicians, magicians, and special guests. And the second half of the show features Tokyo's premiere improv comedy group, Spontaneous Confusion, who make up hilarious scenes, songs and musicals based on your suggestions!
We open at 7:00 so you can have a bite before the show starts. Food is served all night, with a full menu including pizza, pasta, dinner plates and more.
Shows start at 8:00 PM and go until 10:30 PM. Afterwards customers are encouraged to relax, have a few drinks and shoot some pool!
