Born Andre Harvey in Asmara, Ethiopia. Heat grew up in the streets of Altadena and Pasadena, California. As a young man he became friends with a kid named James Broadway whos scratchin and mixed tapes where the first of its kind in the area, he would later become a legendary music producer for artist such as King Tee, Xzibit, The Alkoholics and many more. Along with Scotty Blades, Craig Celestine and a few others these influences would leave a mark on Andre forever. At the urging of Broadway , Andre' began writing rhymes. Nicknamed Heat because of his blazing hot rhymes, his flow is smooth and yet packed with passion., infected with jazz rhythms and carried off with an effortless cool. Performances at some of the hottest spots on the West Coast include The Viper Room, Boardners, The Dragon Fly, Club Lingerie, The World Famous Belly UP in Solana Beach, Ca to name a few have cemented Heats respect with other hip-hop heads in the know. He continues to make what he calls reality rap, the answer to glam rap. Giving the world an alternative to whips, cars and chains with spits, bars and brains. The self titled album Heat will be out mid summer.
