About Me

MESSAGE US FOR TICKETS!
Thank you for choosing to explore The Mercurial. The following is intended to be used as an informative guide for navigating through the strange and exciting world of music called The Mercurial.
WARNING: Those easily frightened by new ideas and broken boundaries may become uneasy when confronted with The Mercurial. Please proceed with caution.
From the lush jungles of Long Island hail an animal made up of young musicians known only by the natives as The Mercurial or (Homo mercurialis). This classification can be broken into two distinct parts; Homo, referring to a branch of the Human Species and Mercurialis, because of The Mercurial's constantly changing temperament and tendency towards new and experimental ideas. A mysterious and wondrous beast, The Mercurial spends its days devouring ideas like genres and scenes and has consistently been producing fresh, original music since its birth in 2004. The Mercurial has quite an intricate anatomy consisting of five primary parts. These parts are as follows: The Chris Sanchez: controlling the larynx and vocal functions, The Dan Cohen: overseeing the movement of the limbs and manipulation of string-like vines and branches, The Lauren Sauer: emitting low frequency tones that can be heard for miles, The Anthony Soriano: regulating the heart beat and keeping track of time and rhythm, and The Scott Kearney: secreting pheromones capable of attracting millions of species throughout the land. In 2008, The Mercurial was found to interact well with famed producers Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner (Coheed and Cambria, The Sleeping) while creating it's self titled debut album. On many occasions The Mercurial has been spotted onstage performing with such beasts as Cobra Starship, The Sleeping, Men, Women & Children, Action Action, Cky, and All Time Low. Also at The Bamboozle 2006 with Fall Out Boy, Taking back Sunday, AFI, Panic at the Disco, Paramore etc, Warped Tour 2007 with Coheed and Cambria, Killswitch Engage, Circa Survive, Underoath, Chiodos, Hawthorne Heights etc. More and more, sightings of The Mercurial have been turning up in the media:
- “These guys have their own original sound that’s best described as syncopated mayhem. If you’re into Panic! At the Disco or AFI, then you really owe it to yourself to get to one of their next shows and see how much better these guys are than those bands” (Aquarian Magazine 2006),
- “Seeing the Mercurial live was like watching a Broadway show on opening night. It was filled with theatrics, drama and an energy and passion as if it was their first show in front of a large crowd.” (musartexchange.com)
- “They blew me away. Everything sounded perfect and together. It's very rare (or at least it was since the last time I semi-frequently went to local shows) to see a band so tight, with energy - LOADS OF ENERGY. These fellas remind me of the late 80s. They've got those crowd-participation and arena-rock characteristics that we all love, but are usually afraid to admit it. That's another thing - the crowd is totally into this band. I couldn't hear myself at all, and it was excellent.” (Wrankmusic.com)
The Mercurial is a friendly and social animal, putting much effort into maintaining close relationships with fans. Loyalty to listeners is prominent feature of The Mercurial. The Fans are its lifeblood and The Mercurial knows this. As long as there is love for The Mercurial, it will continue to grow and thrive!
We would like to wish you the best of luck in your excursions, and hope you have a safe journey exploring the majestic world of The Mercurial.
