I like to read books about current events and non-fiction. I'm reading 'The End Of Faith" by Sam Harris now. The End Of Faith argues the dangers and absurdities of organized religion. Harris delivers a startling analysis of the clash between reason and religion in the modern world.I just read "All Souls : A Family Story from Southie " by Michael Patrick Macdonald (you gotta read it if you're from Boston.). True story about life in The Old Colony Projects in Southie, Roxbury, Charlestown, Dorchester, etc... References to some of our old stomping grounds like Kenmore Square and The Rathskeller...For The Sins of My Father (written by Al DeMeo, the son of a mafia hitman). The author's dad, Roy Demeo, was the number 1 hitman for Gambino family crime boss John Gotti)."The Hot Zone : A Terrifying True Story" By Richard Preston. One of my favorite books ever. So gross. The dramatic and chilling story of the Marburg virus and an Ebola virus outbreak in a surburban Washington, D.C. laboratory, with descriptions of frightening historical epidemics of rare and lethal viruses. More hair-raising than anything Hollywood could think of, because it's all true.The Accidental Zillionaire... Microsoft spawned two billionaires. Bill Gates was the obvious one. This book is about Paul Allen, partner in crime to Mr. Gates. Great book about how it all went down...Are You Morbid - written by Tom. G Warrior (former frontman for Celtic Frost/Hellhammer). If you were curious as to "what ever happened to Celtic Frost" like Billy Milano states in his SOD tribute/satire, this book tells it all... Don't expect a reunion tour from CF any time soon...I also read everything by Michael Moore. Whether you love him or hate him, he DID expose much of the corruption in our country and in our government (republican AND democrat alike)...
