Born in Austin, TX, Clint has played with some of the
finest musicians in the country. The musical climate
through the nineties was the apex of what Austin had
always hoped to be, a melting pot of talent. Through
that time Clint showcased his talents in Jazz, Blues,
R and B, Rock, Pop and even Industrial,There is no format he is uncomfortable with.
In 2001 Clint made a decision that would prove to
be a step toward a new beginning. Leaving Austin for
Los Angeles Clint, never satisfied with the status
quo, enrolled at The Musicians Institute and studied
tirelessly. From odd meter, to African rhythms and
beyond he extended his already wide-ranging
repertoire. From 2001 through the present Clint has
made himself a fixture in the musical landscape. From
singer-songwriters, Rene Reyez, John Hernandez, Bradford Hastings, to full bands,
Lapdog featuring Todd Nichols of Toad the Wet
Sprocket, Wood Fowler, Papas Hat and Jon Geiger, Clint is a musicians musician who audiences
adore. At home on stage as well as in the studio his
unending work ethic has made him a go to guy for
producers, songwriters and band leaders.
As is his style, he will never stop becoming more
than he has already become. Continuing to strive for
more, and noted for his tireless attention to his
craft, Clint Short is a name not soon to be forgotten.
