ABOUT ME
“If I wanted to speak Chinese I would have moved to China, but I choose Chicago and it’s all about the blues.†– Christopher B.
I could say I am a true definition of taking the cards I was dealt and turning them into a winning hand. With God on your side all things are possible!
Furry Lewis: When I Lay My Burden Down
My musical influences and interest range from blues, gospel, funk, soul, rock, and hip-hop...since moving to Chicago I have even become a fan of spoken word poetry. I’m cooking up one big ole big pot of gumbo so stay tuned!
It’s never a dull moment my household: I work full time in television broadcasting, attend graduate school full time at Columbia College (less than a year to go), and a student of the blues.
Just a few musicians & guitarist that I enjoy:

Bro. Langston Hughes' / Mother to Son
Well, son, I'll tell you: Life for me ain't been no crystal stair. It's had tacks in it, And splinters, And boards torn up, And places with no carpet on the floor -- Bare. But all the time I'se been a-climbin' on, And reachin' landin's, And turnin' corners, And sometimes goin' in the dark Where there ain't been no light. So boy, don't you turn back. Don't you set down on the steps 'Cause you finds it's kinder hard. Don't you fall now -- For I'se still goin', honey, I'se still climbin', And life for me ain't been no crystal stair.
