EP REVIEW from Jonni Starr at " dirtyrock.net "
"...All five of these tracks have a slow, bluesy, dirty classic rock feel about them that could easily be mistaken for some long lost tracks from the 1970’s. ‘45’ is my favourite here. Vocalist Curt Apswich shows his voice in this track and the groove draws you in. This is a song I’d like to throw on the jukebox at my local pool hall while downing a few pints. ‘Where Can This Go’ has a similar vibe and is a close second behind ‘45’.
In my opinion these guys would do very well in a support role alongside Wolfmother as they have that small psychedelic element by utilising effects built onto the blues. The vocals to my ears are like Jim Morrison meets Caleb Followill from Kings of Leon. Lets just say I’m pretty happy Hotel War sent this to me because it gives me just that little something else for my collection that I have neglected recently."

"This EP is pretty rad...definitely up my alley sonically"
DAYTON DAILY NEWS by Don Thrasher "Check in Time"
"The trio's sound has solidified into a slower, groovier brand of skuzz rock...Hotel War's new five-song EP is a perfect aural snapshot of the group's musical direction. "Marooned" is a gritty postmillenium blues with pounding piano and Apwisch's gravely vocals, while "45" is a stomping slice of post-grunge rock with an indelible guitar riff and dirty groove."
COLUMBUS ALIVE by John Ross "The Riot Act: Song of the Day 'MAROONED' "
"Firmly in the camp of The White Stripes and The Black Keys, Columbus trio Hotel War peddles a gutteral mix of Delta blues, Southern rock and the snarl of metal revisionists like my beloved Wolfmother."
