About Me

I'm a pretty ridiculous person. I am fairly serious, but I love to be extremely silly sometimes. I like to laugh a lot; I try to do it as much as possible. I can still do a one-handed cartwheel. I have a tendency of clapping my hands together and bouncing when I get really excited, which my friends like to make fun of me for. My life revolves around music (if you can't tell by all the music and quotes on here). I love to feel the wind on my face. I enjoy writing, be it creative writing, personal narrative, poetry, lyrics, whatever. I try to remain childlike. I have a tendency toward randomness. I make short stories long (part of the writer in me, it's all about detail!). I use vagueness and rhetoric a lot, but I don't really hide much. If you ask me something, I'll most likely tell you what I think/know, and even if you don't ask, I just might tell you anyway.

My Blog

Everyone I know considers me a clown

Have you ever been having a super crappy day, and someone makes you smile or laugh?  Sometimes people will notice that you're sad, or frustrated, or pissed off, and their attempts only aggravate you w...

All I ever wanted was the simple things, a simple kind of life

I drove all over today looking for something to give to my nephew for his sixth birthday.  He's been consumed with desire for a Magic 8 Ball, of all things.  It's funny, that something so simple shoul...

Can't read my poker face

Almost a year ago, the film 21 was released.  While it did alright monetarily, it seems that very few people are actually familiar with the movie.  Artistic license aside (the movie starred Kevin Spac...

Nowadays, no one remembers when they were young and stupid

The other night at work, I'm talking with this chick who is cool as hell.  She's a really nice lady (even brought me some new eyeshadow her daughter had never used!), and she's super laid back and has...

One day you find ten years have got behind you...

Time is a funny thing.  I love Pink Floyd as much as anyone else, but I never paid too much attention to the lyrics of the song "Time," until recently, when I finally learned to appreciate it.  Even f...

Love is a four-letter word

Some people may laugh at Metallica's referencing such a great and beautiful thing as a four-letter word.  Of course, l-o-v-e actually is only four letters.  The connotation in the song, howe...

Don’t look back in anger

Sunday morning, I awoke from out of a haze, put on the clothes I'd laid out the night before, and checked out of my hotel room.  After wandering around the city one more time, I got in my car and...

You sang the words but don’t know what it means

I like to make mix cd's, and I've always loved making them for other people.  One of the few "problems" with the concept, though, is that while one may put certain "message songs" (as t...

Maybe I’m just like my mother, she’s never satisfied

I'm a walking contradiction.  I keep people at arm's length and then wonder why I'm so lonely.  I allow myself to be objectified only to be frustrated with those who I feel are objectifying ...

You never know just how to look through someone else’s eyes

How is it that we have become immersed in a culture where someone can be within shouting distance, yet it's easier to get online and talk to them than to be face to face with them and have a conversat...
