About Me

After nearly 8 years of being "the girl at the record store," I've left retail to pursue bigger and better things. What are those things you ask? Well, currently I'm working in the wide world of academic publishing as an art researcher, which means that I look at thousands of images a day and find just the right one to put in a text book so the kids will have something to draw devil horns on.
I still work at Gillys behind the bar and am actually thinking about the possibility of going back to school and getting my masters in a year or two. I'm also finally getting to work on my band. Well by getting to work, I mean I'm writing some songs, devoting more time to learning the autoharp and keeping those vocal chords in practice. Oh yeah, and I just started playing the accordion.
I live in glorious downtown Dayton with my record collection.
I volunteer at WYSO, cohosting Evening Excursions on alternate Wednesday nights with my buddy Chris Olvis. The show is 8-11pm on 91.3FM or online here . I also occasionally host AlphaRhythms on Sundays 8-11pm, and I'm currently developing a weekly segment about local music. More details on that very soon!!
