About Me

All About Me
I'm radio announcer middays, 10am to 2pm at KSOP 104.3FM, 1370AM.
It's Utah's heritage country station and has been on the air contiuously since 1955. I've been here since 1989 and do creative
I feel lucky to work in a field that directly relates to what I like to do creatively.
I work at a country station, but play in a blues band and like progressive rock of all kinds, Texas folk scene as well as improvisational jazz.
I love to produce radio commercials and other audio projects. I have played keyboard instruments since I was 5, doing my own TV shows from my mom's dressing mirror, "Crest has been proven to be an effective decay preventative dentifrice when used i n a conscientiously applied pro...." sorry, and also play bad guitar and ok bass as well as brass, especially the trumpet. I have a home studio where I can produce radio as well as music ... most of the music on my spots is recorded there with a digital multitrack computer system.
I have the good fortune to hang a lot with the best girl, and who always was boss and groovy is able now to keep the pilot light on
I have a son, Kellen, who is a musician with I Am the Ocean(guitar, bass, drums, microphone) and an incredibly talented artist and poet.
I have a son, Jesse, who has Sonnett and Luis, Trinton, Justin and Braden who make it all OK.
When I have the chance, I play 'boards with the best musicians there are.
I play as much golf as possible and, depending on the day and how much I've practiced, I am competitve. If you want to know me, you've gotta know Schmoop so read my anniversary blog,
I have been married to two really great people and love them with my fatheart (GMH and DKD)and have the best partner (MG) to help face life
More personal stuff comin'...
