I'd like to meet:
Linda Perry, Frank Black, N6, Dean/Gene/Mean WEEN - for the years of amusement, Suzi Quatro, Trent Reznor, Maynard James Keenan, the Dalai Lama, Etta James, Rabi Khan ....I'll add more if I think of 'em....And of course the deceased 'wish-list': Jim Morrison, Hillel Slovak, Johnny Cash...& more...
Music:
YES!!!! Music makes my world go 'round... The down & dirty has always held the most intrigue for me but as I've gotten older I've become a girl of many tastes... Forever classic NIN, NY Dolls, Plasmatics, Chilis, Sick Things, Pixies, Pogues, Cure, Clash, Tool, HHH, Beasties, Foo Fighters... the list really goes on & on....throw in a little Doors, Otis Redding, Cohen or Morcheeba on a Sunday...& let's not forget all the b.a.d. 80's metal I grew up with that I still have a soft spot for :-)...BUT I have no tolerance for CRAP/Sell-outs & it's many-forms out there.
Movies:
The list is too long - we'll start with the mainstream: True Romance, Memento, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers...love the blood & guts...the edge of your seat stuff. BUT - I am still a chick & am a sucker for the SAP too - mind you, my favourite love story/tragedy to date is "Killing Me Softly"...what does that say?? hmmm... :-) CHECK IT OUT if only for the table/scarf scene. Absolutely Lovely.I prefer the Uptown or Globe line-ups & my taste in movies is really anything that I can walk away from saying "I didn't see that coming" or somedays it's all about the no-brainer good laugh. Depends on my mood...
Television:
150 channels of SHITE. Really - what's the point??? Ah yes...the mind-numbing factor.
Books:
Something I can lose myself in. Depends on my headspace at the time I s'pose. Really enjoyed the Poisonwood Bible & recently finished Scar Tissue as well. Both great reads for completely different reasons.
