Not many people understand DJ Flound, to some he is A DJ/ Music Producer with an ego problem worse than Kanye's. Yet to others he is a fun loving, do anything to make you smile normal person.
Some consider him a musical genius with the ability to play near any instrument somewhat competently and a posesser of the softest pair of hands on the planet. Then again some just consider him an asshole. At 24 Years old DJ Flound hit a crossroad in his life, finally a college graduate he has lost claim to the title of a real life Tommy Boy or Van Wilder. Now that his 7 years of college are over, it is time for him to fully turn his attention to the album that could give Guns n Roses Chinese Democracy a run for its money when it comes to discussing heavily anticipated yet constantly delayed albums that some feel may never arrive: The 7 Year Plan.
When it comes to his own oppinion about his music DJ Flound is more confusing to read than a chuck palaniuak novel. On one hand he understands the work he still has ahead of him if his dream of being the cause of envy for most of the world is to be accomplished, yet at the same time engage him in a conversation about his music and he will be damned if he doesn't tell you that given the 3rd rate equipment he has to work with he isn't the best in the world with what he has.
Thanks to huge local hits such as Welcome to the Burbs, DJ Flound's local celebrity continues to grow in Pittsburgh as well as his birth town of Jenkintown PA, all with little to no publicity and promotion. Unlike many hip hop producers and artists, DJ Flound knows that the road to superstardom is long and windy and that many artists have died along the way; that is why he remains an active member of the working class at the same time. Perhaps one day the world will come to know DJ Flound as the world's most successful corporate producer as he attempts to conquer both the music and the business world. While The 7 Year Plan has no formal release day, the event draws nearer with every passing day, and has he once quoted in his underground smash freestyle:
"When's the 7 year plan droppin? Dont ask me
I don't know now, and I sure didn't know last week
But I guarantee it's worth the wait
had to take time to make sure every single hook, beat, and verse was great"
