About Me

Cool Stuff at BlingJam.com
AdVerse In 1995, three high school seniors stumbled on their smooth sound of vocal harmonies, having a smooth R&B edge. Joe Mann, Doug Gilbert, and Eric Popovich started experimenting with different songs, different styles. After a few years of performing at a few local venues, they started trying to expand their harmonies. Rich Mann, Joes younger brother, joined the group after graduating from high school. For a couple years, The 4 Aliquippa natives held down monthly performances at venues in the Strip District of Pittsburgh, and also a few local venues. Area 51; which is now known as Club Deja Vu, where they opened for national recording artist Biz Markie, and Whiskey Dicks, which are both in the Strip District. Aside from club performances, they also performed around the Tri-county area at local festivals, The San Rocco Festival, which is in their hometown of Aliquippa, The Big Butler Fair, where they opened for national recording artists Mr. Cheeks and Isyss, and the 4th of July festival in Midland. On top of club and festival performances, the group wanted to truly test their talents. In 2002, the group entered The WAMO Talent Showcase in Pittsburgh, and came in first place of the R&B group category, and also got the chance to perfrom on stage at the I.C. Light Amphitheater with national recording artists Ray, Goodman, and Brown, The Enchantments, and The Dells. A couple years later, Antuone Torbert of Youngstown, Ohio was added to the group, adding an even thicker sound to the harmonies of the group. The group decided to give the Showcase another go, and again came in first place. They had the honor of performing at the Amphitheater again, the show now known as Summerjam, opening for national recording artists Mario Wynans, The Ying Yang Twins, and Mobb Deep. The group also performed at local weddings, Cabarets in the Pittsburgh area, church performances, benefit concerts at Club Lacys in downtown Aliquippa, and at California University of Pennsylvania. In order to achieve the high quality sound they deserve , the group spent the last two years traveling back and forth to New York City, recording at the platinum plus Sound Matrix Studios, home of the well know and respected producer, Ty Fyffe (Nas, Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Benie Sigel, etc.). Recently taking the solo route, Joe Mann has been building a library of new music. Moving to Queens for a few months to promote the new look and sound, Joe ran into Mr. Cheeks, who took a liking to his new sound. Joe and Mr. Cheeks have worked on 5 songs, some that are currently circulating around the LB mixtape circuit. Between grinding out sessions with his partners, Budro Hydro and the Chamber clique, networking nationally to build his empire, Joe Mann will be heard and felt.... WORLDWIDE.
