"Poor J" is a two member musical act that includes lead singer / guitarist Eoin McCarthy, and percussionist / vocalist Jason Reimer. Although they've known each other since high school, and were in a previous band together, they've only been playing as "Poor J" since Nov 2005. These Irish/Wisconsin natives blend a uniquely acoustic sound to make them one of the more inventive acts to hit the Greater Milwaukee area. They each draw influences from completely different musical scenes that end up creating a veritable melting pot of sound. The band's emotionally driven music resonates with complex, hypnotic, and unique percussion, along with striking harmonies that make them truly one of a kind. Their live performances bring the audience members in to make them comunicate with the band, and have been described as "An acoustic show with the energy of a punk band."
