About Me

After originally working as a Drum and Bass DJ and Producer in Leeds, I moved back to London in the summer of 2004 and started to change the music i was writing and playing. Having started to listen to alot of downbeat / psychedellic music i was inspired to start producing music that came more naturaly, music that i didnt try to fit into a genre. The change in style produced a big response and in October 2005 i was offered a recording contract with a london based dance/downbeat label called 'Thirteen Records'.
The J-Level back catalogue 3eB is out now for a limited period as a pre release to the first Official album 'Daydream State.
Praise For Daydream State
"'Daydream State' - a fine album the verges on electro-orchestral. More sensual and thought provoking than most electro 'outfits', J-Level puts sense and sensibility into the silicon driven world of music."
"Where J-Level makes a difference is in his ability to visualise just what electronic music is capable of. He doesn't go down the tried and tested 'clubbing' route, J-Level reaches out further - carefully picking out influences from the multitudinal music sources available to him. Not content with simply following, J-Level paves the way - a way that more should attempt to follow."
Peter J Brown aka toxic pete (www.toxicpete.co.uk)
"Drum’n’Bass and fuzzy electronics combine in the self-titled ‘Daydream State’ to mesmerise with a wall of new approach sounds combined in ways that you never dreamed of when you were sleeping."
"There is also a magical infusion of Floyd and Jim Morrison inspired programming between very different voices and cool laid back instrumentals. This album will provoke you to question all forms of music, and ask why no-one has touched on this construction before."
