About me...about me...ok let's talk about ME!Left home at 19 to move to the big city, my rock'n'roll social life at the time brought me down to London and I had some great years meeting new friends from far and wide and living and breathing the rock'n'roll lifestyle. My social scene moved on as I grew older and I'm pleased to say I now have a big, eclectic bunch of old and new friends who are always there in my hour of need.Or alternatively just for a good gossip and a few drinks!I like nothing more than to get together with friends over a bottle of wine, listen to some good music and put the world to rights!Work is still working for the 'big man'but I've moved onwards and upwards over the years so can't complain, a cushti 9-5 job with lots of holidays and flexible working hours...need I say more (don't get me wrong I DO work hard when needs be!!)Home is south east London now after many years spent north of the river. My sister followed me south and stayed in London after finishing her Fine Art degree at the London Guildhall Uni - so it's nice to have some family close by. The folks upped sticks and relocated to Northern France taking 3 cats and two chinchillas. Thank heavens for RyanAir (and not many can say that)as I fly over as often as possible whenever cheap deals are to be had!Last but not least this city is where I met my man...a true cockney gent/geezer (delete when necessary!). He makes me laugh, makes me cry but most of all he's mine. (would also have a cat to add to this equation were it not for the fact that he's allergic to them...sadly!)That's it for now folks.......even I've had enough of talking about me!? I'd rather find out about you...

My Interests

Socialising with friends... Healthy debate... Spending time with my family... Having a laugh with my other half... Meeting up with my little sister... Watching a good film... Reading a good book... Listening to good music - and hey my definition of good is broad to say the least!... Watching trash TV... Whiling away the hours surfing the net when I should be working... Anti War rallies... Retail therapy... Shoes... Bags... Accessorizing... Travelling with friends to far off places... Sex,drugs and rock'n'roll - need I say more...What I can't stand...racism, bigotry and lies.

I'd like to meet:

New friends from wherever they may come to broaden my horizons and interests...People who've seen life and experienced things I never have or never will (never say never my good fairy tells me!)...And people who are embarking on a life of adventure and wild abandon!

Music:

Too many to list here but if it's recommended by someone I love and trust I'm always willing to give it a go! My musical tastes can vary wildly from the great and good to the downright embarrassing...but I don't care - if I like it then what does it matter what the world thinks! Current listening on my iPod includes rock'n'roll, indie, northern soul, ska, motown, blues, pop, country...need I go on? Variety is the spice of life they say....

Movies:

Not so much of a fan of cinema anymore...overpriced and full of irritating people who either block the view or keep kicking the seat...! But I love a good film...psychological thrillers especially. Ever expanding DVD collection to prove it...

Television:

Probably watch too much trash TV as it is.....but nothing better than a cup of coffee, chocolate biscuits and a good old trashy american teen soap to cure a creeping hangover...(I know I shouldn't like them but I do!) I'm also partial to a well produced drama with a twist...dark and dangerous is how I like 'em!

Books:

If it's got a good hook I'm there. Most recently read Beautiful Child, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, The House of Sleep, The Memory Keepers Daughter, Smashed:Diary of a drunk girl, Beautiful Child and currently reading A Piece of Cake.

Heroes:

Elvis.......what more can I say that you may want to hear!? Ok so he's a childhood 'hero' of sorts for me...awakening many fond memories but not in the true sense of a hero I guess.A hero to me is one who stands up for the underdog, stands by his beliefs in order to better this world of ours...there are many but I fear this world needs more! However after saying all that I'd have to say my Mum is my main hero(ine)!
