About Me

Skumring was created in the early summer months of 2004, when Cecilie and VÃƒÆ’Ã¯Â¿Â½li were discussing to form a band.Already in the planning stages it became clear that the music we wanted to make would have to be heavy and melodic, thus the choise fell on doom metal. We immediatly recruited Ole to play rhythm guitar, and KK joined later to handle the bass duties. We quickly started to rehearse self composed material, and after a few weeks without a drummer, Knut replied to our ad on the internet and the line-up was complete.However, after the recording of the 2004 demo Knut decided to leave the band. And late in 2005 Ole left the band.

Sounds Like: Atmospheric and melodic doom ala early 3rd and The mortal with a touch of Funeral, and with accoustic parts ala Empyrium and Ulvers "Kveldssanger".
