bleakness

It was born at the end of year 2005, as a project, it had no name by these days, but the lineup: Leonel Arregui, Juan Manuel Reyes, Marcelo Gonçalves dos Santos, Diego Rodriguez y Fabio Rojas. So, the band began their musical tests on the 12th. of June of 2006 and, in addition,arrengement of some tracks and composition of some new melodies. Bleakness, the name, its the true word which represents,with accuracy, feellings that they want to reflect in their songs. At the moment, the band is recording its first album (nameless, at the moment) and it will be finished at the middle of 2008. This album will have 12 intense songs. Bleakness is proud to be one of the few bands that performs Emotional Rock. A very special music style which fuse the darkest rock with mellancholy and sensivity of their lyrics.
.:bleakness:. nació como un proyecto a fines del 2005. Por aquel entonces Leonel Arregui y Juan Manuel Reyes se juntaron a grabar unos temas que tenían y una vez registrada la primera maqueta se pusieron en búsqueda de nuevos músicos. En poco tiempo aparecieron dos amigos de la banda, quienes no dudaron ni un instante en sumarse al proyecto. Ellos son: Marcelo Gonçalves dos Santos y Diego Rodríguez.
Así, la banda comenzó sus ensayos el día 12 de junio de 2006, remodelando viejos temas y creando de otros nuevos. Poco tiempo más pasó hasta que, de la mano de Diego Rodríguez, llegara Fabio Rojas, el instrumento que faltaba, para agregar sus profundas bases de bajo.
El nombre .:bleakness:. apareció pronto, pues esa palabra es la que mejor expresa los sentimientos que la banda quiere reflejar en sus canciones. Entre fines del 2007 y principios de 2008 terminaron el ciclo de grabación de su primer demo, titulado: “Out of Here”, el cual consta de 3 canciones y un bonus track, al mismo tiempo que .:bleakness:. comienza a hacerse lugar dentro de la escena y a dar sus primeros pasos.
.:bleakness:. tiene el orgullo de ser una de las pocas bandas en la Argentina en hacer lo que se conoce como emotional rock: un estilo muy especial que fusiona el más oscuro rock con la melancolía y sensibilidad de sus letras.
