The Paranoid Foundation: a collaborative music/multimedia project aiming to explore the darker elements of the human psyche.
The Paranoid Foundation was formed in London, UK during 2003 by Crispin Lee and Andrew Walker: 2 sonic explorers with a shared interest in dark, experimental sounds. Taking influence from a variety of musical sources including krautrock, industrial and punk through to dub, electronica and ambient/noise the project aims to provide an intoxicating soundtrack to the often harsh reality of modern life.
The Paranoid Foundation are currently a trio after being joined by Japanese graphic designer, Tetsu Okada. Tetsu provides the visual elements of the project. Samples of his work can be found in the 'Projections' area of the PF website, his graphics providing an accurate visual counterpart to Cris and Andy's musical themes.
The Paranoid Foundation operate their own small self-financed record label featuring regular limited-edition cds. A number of future releases are in the pipeline and the Foundation continue to branch out with soundtrack, multimedia and live presentations and various collaborative art.
