Le style de Wickeda n'est pas facile à décrire : il passe du reggae au punk et du ska au funk.Cest un mélange incroyablement énérigique qui ne peut que vous faire danser.
En Bulgaie,Wickeda est un des groupes les plus connus,et existe depuis plus de 8 ans.Pendant les changements politiques des 15 dernières années,Wickeda a eu une énorme influence sur la scène alternative.
Wickeda présentait son premier album, »Revolution » en 1999.Celui-ci causa un effet de shock parmi les musiciens,les journalistes et évidemment les amateurs de musique.Lalbum sest vendu à plus de 30 000 exemplaires.Il a été suivi de trois autres cds,qui même sils nont pas eu le succès commercial du premier,nen font pas moins partie de ce qui se fait de mieux sur la scène bulgare.
Wickeda s'est forgé une solide réputation scènique grâce à ses inombrables tournées européennes.Le groupe a visité de nombreux festivals et clubs européens : Hongrie(Sziget 2000-2005),Macédoine(Taksirat 2002) Croatie(Ska-reggae-dub festival 2002),Allemagne(Fusion,Rockxplosion,Stadtfest 2003,This is Ska 2004),Grèce(Agrinio festival 2002) ainsi que des salles comme le Melkweg(Amsterdam,2004),Kulturbrauerei(Berlin,2005),Flèche dOr(Pais,2006).A souligner également leur première partie au concert de Manu Chao à Sofia en 2002._______________________________________________________ ______________
The style of Wickeda is not that easy to describe.Their musical spectrum goes from ska to punk and from reggae to funk.It's the kind of mixtures that is incredibly energetic and that can only makes you dance.
In Bulgaria Wickeda belong to the most well-known bands, rocking the stage for 8 years. During the serious cultural changes of the last fifteen years Wickeda had a considerable influence on the music of their country. With them the new rock-scene started, at all.
Wickeda presented their first album already in 1999. It caused a stir under musicians, journalists and of course under the Bulgarian listeners.The album sold more than 30 000 copies.It was followed by 3 more albums.Even if they didn't have the first album's comercial success,they still stay as what is best in bulgarian alternative music.
However, they also caught international attention, even overseas (U.S.A. Tour 2001). They really proved themselves as a live band in club and festivals all over Europe such as Hungary(Sziget Festival 2000-2005)), Makedonia (Taksirat Festival 2002), Croatia (Ska-/Reggae-/Dub-Festival 2002), Slovakia (2002), Greece (Agrinio Festival 2002) and Germany (Fusion, Rockxplosion, StadtFestival 2003, Waltroper Parkfest 2004) as well as concerts in Melkweg(Amsterdam),Kulturbrauerei(Berlin),Flèche d'or(Paris) and many others.Not to forget, they were steadily on tour through their own country, heating the crowd as opening band for Manu Chao (2002).
