I was born in Yankton SD. Lived in Ponca NE for the first two years of my life on my Grandma's family farm. We moved to Yankton and lived by the lake for a couple years. At that time my Dad had his own truck. A 1978 Pete 359. It had a Big Cam Cummins with a 13. I loved that truck. I would tell everyone that it was my truck. My Dad didn't like being gone all the time away from his family so he sold the truck and the house out by the lake and we moved to the farm north of Yankton where I grew up. I started driving tractors on my own when I was 8. I loved farming. Still do. But after highschool there just wasn't any room for me so I had to do something eles. I worked some odd jobs and eventually went to Heavy Equipment Operator school at Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls. After that I went to work for Myrl & Roy's Paving. I was the loader operator at the asphalt plant. I also learned to operate the asphalt plant. I liked running the plant but I really wasn't ready for that kind of all the shit a guy has to take as the "man" at the plant. Hell I was 22, 23 years old. I liked running my loader better. It was a good job. Made great money but I thought that maybe the county job here at home would be better. It was ok but the problem with goverment jobs is the politics. So when I started looking for a new job I had to think. I wanted to be involved in the farming/ranching comunity in some way. When I was a kid I wanted to be a bull rider. I'm too big a guy to do that. And I also always wanted to be a truck driver. There was a way to kinda make it all come together. So I was a Bullhauler for awhile. I've done other types of trucking. Flatbed, tanker, ect. I love hauling cattle the most out of everything. But I wasn't able to keep it working money wise. So now I'm doing my second favorite type of trucking. Hopper bottom. So mow I am on the road for 5 to 12 days sometimes. I usually go to Dodge City KS, Liberal KS, Arkanas City KS, Omaha NE, Dakota City NE Schuyler NE, Lexington NE, and Grand Island NE just like I did when I was hauling cattle plus some others. >> Here in the big town of Yankton during the summer I like to spend time out on the lake, crusing in my Camaro, and drinking some beers. I used to dig NASCAR, I am or was was a Dale Earnhardt fan. I used to go to the race in Texas every year, I haven't been for awhile. And I don't think I'll be going again soon. Now that I've gone to a sprint car race I have a new love. Sprint car racing is where it is at. It rocks! > > I like to go hunting because it's fun and the animals taste good. I know it is something that not everyone agrees with but they sure are tasty! I go shooting for fun as well, I like shooting sporting clays. That's clay birds that they set up to fly like the bird. Like the geese clays are supposed to simulate geese and so on and so forth. It's Fun. >> Also in my spare time I like to go down to my favorite bar in the whole world Omalley's. Where eles in the "big town" of Yankton, South Dakota can you get a better drink? Nowhere.

The "Opener" refers to the first day of deer season. It's a religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November.>>10. We open doors for women. That is applied to all women, regardless of age.>>11. No, there's no "vegetarian special" on the menu. Order steak. Or you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham & turkey.>>12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three spices: salt, pepper, and ketchup!>>13. You bring "coke" into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice. You bring "Mary Jane" into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair.>>14. College and High School Football is as important here as the Bulls and the Lakers, and a dang site more fun to watch.>>15. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards -- it spooks the fish.>>16. Colleges? We have them all over. We have State Universities, Universities, and Vo-techs. They come outta there with an education plus a love for God and country, and they still wave at everybody when they come for the holidays
