About Me

Hi. Hi. Hi. From the depths of hell we bring you Tacopimp. Tacopimp is a techno producer/dj who who has managed to stay relevant by always reinventing the sound, and staing true to the deep dark roots upon which techno was built. This techno boy has delivered techno to the people with an experimental driving sound of minimal tech, techno, and tech house, many times to party goers who are not exposed to such sounds. He has much respect and credibility in the industry among other techno producers/djs since teaming up with fellow producer/dj, Gabriel Ben. Together Tacopimp and Gabriel Ben formed the group "Tattoo Detectives". Together they produce a style that has gained them notoriety with techno greats across the globe.
A life in the studio and nightclubs dedicated to the music has only proven successful. He has teamed up with his production partner Gabriel Ben to form the duo, Tattoo Detectives. Tattoo Detectives have often found themselves on the playlists & charts of DJ's across the globe. Since their inception, the Tattoo Detectives have been drawing praise from some of the most regarded DJs in the world including the likes of Carl Cox & Paul Van Dyk. The Tattoo Detectives have been making some serious international headlines, which found them on Paul Van Dyk's Vonyc Sessions in June 2007 and then invited back to become a monthly regular guest on Vonyc beginning in September 2007. They also were featured on Carl Cox’s Global Radio Show in February 2007, in the Spotlight Segment which aired to over 15 million people in 20 different countries. However, Cox’s support does not stop there; he also invited the boys to open for him in October 2007 at New York’s Pacha Nightclub. The Tattoo Detectives have also been captivating crowds with there DJ sets in the US and have also been heard world wide on XM radio, Vonyc Sessions, Afterhours FM in Lima-Peru, Proton Radio and DJ Lucca’s Sound of Acapulco show in Czech Republic which aired New Years Eve in 2007.
Tacopimp also does productions on his own. As a solo artist in 2008, Tacopimp creeped his freaky minimal techno sound into Beatport's Top 100 breaking into the 30 slot and held steady with the release of his debut solo EP's 'A Side' track, "Snapback." This was just part of his success on Beatport as he had a top selling remix in early 2007 with the remix he did of 'Yeehaw Junction'.
