About Me

Name is Deakin Scott, 23 Years old at present time of writing, currently producing & recording under the guises "Feather Boom", & "Bullet Proof Sounds", & in the case of library music, my own name.

I run my little studio & label Gerbil Scratchings, have had music released on Virgin, done official remixes for Moloko, Engineers, Pianoman, R.O.C, Amanda Jane-Miller, & Reload. Unofficial Remixes include Chemical Brothers, Lunatic Calm, Kidz With Toyz, Fused, Timo Maas, Daft Punk, The Mock Turtles, Imogen Heap & Pink, some of which were played on Kiss 100, & XFM, & got some good coverage by critics over the net including Drowned In Sound (www.drownedinsound.com), & have produced music for various stations such as XFM, Kiss 100, Radio 1. & produced music for films such as 51st State (Samuel L. Jackson), Domino (Keira Knightly) & Man On Fire (Denzel Washington, Dakota Fanning).

I started off doing music at the age of 13, & have just been attempting to make music ever since. The main music i do is Breakbeat/Bigbeat, but slowly progressing into Drum 'n Bass. The Feather Boom alias is a side project for all the live music on Guitar, Piano, & Singing, etc.

Currently putting the final touches to the album "Trip To The Acid Bounce" or "Snapped The Back Of White Noise", haven't decided which title yet, but a demo of the album was recently sent out in the run of 25 copies with some good reactions. The album as a whole probably won't be finished til' the middle of this year in all honesty though as i hate thing's not being precise.

Currently talking to people about the album being signed up. Have released numerous ep's on my own imprint, some of which people say i try to hard to sound like the Prodigy, not in a compliment way from whoever said it but in my book, if anyone think's that, then it's a good thing!
