Guy Gerard

Guy Gerard - Guitarist

About Me

At age 8, Guy saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan TV Variety Show; at that time he decided he was going to play the guitar. Other influences, as a young guitarist were the Ventures, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Pink Floyd (early) and Jimi Hendrix. Guy started his first band while in the sixth grade. In his 20's, he began studying with the late jazz guitarist Stu Pierce. Guy gives credit to Stu in helping him develop into a musician. Guy enjoys teaching guitar too! However, he prefers the label "Music Coach". Guy has played in bands that range from jobbing to special recording project bands. Guy also enjoys helping singer/song writers with their songs. Guy has commented that he prefers working on other musician's songs more than his own. Guy enjoys wearing several hats; he is a musician, music coach, producer, recording engineer and songwriter. He is currently working on a new project that will show his many styles. Peace
