About Me

"chris in quotes"

"I think maybe heaven is a sea of untranslatable jokes.
Only everyone is laughing."
- The Clean House by Sarah Ruhl
"Aim for what you want a lot
Everybody gets a shot.
Everybody's got the right to their dreams."
- Assassins Stephen Sondheim
"I wish I had taken more pictures." -Avenue Q
"You have suffered enough
Have warred with yourself
It's time that you won."
-Falling Slowly Glen Hansard/Marketa Irglova
"When you're following an angel
Does it mean you have to throw your body off a building?
Somewhere they're meeting on a pinhead
Calling you an angel, calling you the nicest things"
-She's An Angel They Might Be Giants
"In the laughing times we know that we are lucky
In the quiet times we know that we are blessed
And we, will not be alone, anymore."
-The Arrival Dar Williams
"Shyness is nice, and shyness can stop you
From doing all the things in life you'd like to"
-Ask The Smiths
"I'm looking for a dare to be great situation"
-Say Anything
"There's nothing in the world greater than true love, except a nice MLT--mutton, lettuce, and tomato sandwich, when the mutton is nice and lean and the lettuce is crispy..."
-The Princess Bride
"Our parents want the bestest stuff for us, up there. Cause it's their time. It's their time up there. But down here. It's our time. It's our time down here. It's all over once we go up Troy's bucket."
-The Goonies
"I am a part of all that I have met."
-Ulysses Alfred Lord Tennyson
When I was fifteen, I had a dream that made me laugh so hard I laughed myself out of my sleep. But it was a perfect dream, whimsical entertainment for everyone involved.
I then realized that dreams don't have to stop once you wake up. Of course, Freddy Krueger taught us that they do stop once you wake up, or else you're really not awake. You're probably on your way to death by razor blades. Well not me because I'm still alive, but all those Elm Street kids learned the hard way didn't they? Except for Nancy. There was always Nancy...
But I am no Nancy, and this isn't Elm Street. It's LA, which could be the same thing. I haven't quite figured that out.
What I do know is that I am an adopted Asian who grew up in an adopted world of Irish Catholics and twelve years of guilt-ridden Catholic school. I have a guitar-wielding, songwriting twin brother and a few sisters and brothers also in the mix. We grew up hard and tough, and we're all the better for it!
People have told me I am a kind and caring soul, always looking out for my family and friends. They also say I'm quite talented, handsome and humble and I say, "It could be the clothes, but I'm christurner and that's just who I am, lady friends."
I do enjoy a mean cheese...it's my downfall.
And no, I'm not good at Math or Science.
