I do go to movies a lot and try to see concerts when I can afford to. Salted popcorn, though. None of that silly sweet popcorn!Andy and I try to go on adventures when we can. He took me to Venice for our one year anniversary and we went to Edinburgh for a weekend trip. Scarborough too. Hopefully we will get to see a lot that Northern England has to offer.I also like going to aquariums. My favorite are the sea turtles. The jellyfish are nice to look at, but not when I am in the ocean with them. I also love bunnies and puppies.I love to swim. I like to go to sporting events but only basketball and hockey can hold my attention on TV. Go Mavericks, Go Stars! Oh and the Rangers. Some day they'll make us proud too.Other than that, ice cream is yummy. And snow cones are cool.
Michel Gondry, Richard Ashcroft, Charlie Kauffman, Tim Burton, Conan O'Brien, Zach Braff, Nick Hornby, Bill Murray, Wes Anderson, Spike Jonze, Bill Lawrence, Kate Winslet, The Maysles Brothers, Philip Seymour Hoffman, John Cusack to name a few. I am a big fan of Jim Gaffigan too, and I got to meet him once. Jack Black. I don't know...people that make me laugh. I know a lot of people say Jesus, but these are people I want to meet while I'm alive. I don't think you can meet Jesus until death. But, when I die I hope I meet Jim Henson and Johnny Cash too.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is my favorite movie. I also like these movies well enough to own: Garden State, Amelie, The Virgin Suicides, the Nightmare Before Christmas, Finding Neverland, Truman Show, Igby Goes Down, Magnolia, Donnie Darko, Moulin Rouge, Very Long Engagement, Punch-Drunk Love, About a Boy, The Royal Tennenbaums, Rushmore, Bottle Rocket, Say Anything, High Fidelity, Grosse Point Blank. I also love the original Bad News Bears, The Natural, Some Like it Hot, The Sting, City of Lost Children, Moonlight Mile, Ghost World, White Oleander, Love Liza, Big Fish. I could go into all of the old movies I love, but that would take too long...a lot of them are films that have been remade though not well. Most movies with Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Paul Newman are solid.I love all of the Muppet movies (and most Jim Henson movies) and pretty much all of the Pixar movies. Some of my favorite Disney animated movies are: Robin Hood (my fav), The Rescuers, An American Tale, Black Cauldron, Sword in the Stone, The Great Mouse Detective, and Bambi.I love documentaries - band documentaries of musicians I love ( I have quite a few of those!) and other documentaries - Maysles brothers - Salesman, Grey Gardens, Gimme Shelter D.A. Pennebaker - Don't Look Back. Devil and Daniel Johnston, Lost in La Mancha, Tarnation, March of the Penguins, and Spellbound were excellent as well.Mockumentaries - Best in Show, This is Spinal Tap!
I don't have time for television....just kidding. I hate when people say that. TV is too low-brow for them? Well, I'm not above it.I've really gotten into Heroes! Amazing and so addicting! My favorites are Scrubs and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. I love cartoons as well so Cartoon Network is a big favorite, especially Dexter's Laboratory, Futurama, Family Guy, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I like Seinfeld, Malcolm in the Middle (the re-runs), The Office, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. There are lots of shows I like that haven't been able to see since moving to the UK. But I'm doing my best. I also frequently watch Without a Trace, House, CSI/ CSI Miami, Cold Case, and Law and Order. I also love Sesame Street, Muppet Babies because I watched those as a kid. Thanks to YouTube, I can still watch them.
Harry Potter- looking forward to the new book! (I like the movies too). I enjoy C.S. Lewis (the Chronicles of Narnia and the Christian books), Jeffrey Eugenides, Nick Hornby, J.D. Salinger, Philip Pullman (still reading his books), Chaucer, Edgar Allan Poe, and Shakespeare, to name the ones that stand out in my head. Finished reading Marilynne Robinson's Gilead (very moving) and Julie Orringer's How to Breathe Underwater (collection of stories - amazing- you should read it)! Just started reading the Unthinkable Thoughts of Jacob Green.I also read books on philosophy and theology/religion.I like reading magazines as well, but I am trying to cut down. I mostly read Q and Mojo and The Big Takeover, Under the Radar, Paste for music magazines. I like American Cinematographer, and any magazines dealing with screenwriting and indie films. Sometimes I read the New Yorker as well.Newspapers I read- The Onion, New York Times, Dallas Morning News.
