About Me

ever since blake left the helen keller experience, sam and jason have been straight kicking out the jams with a ferret...the music examples are "the helen keller experience." a trio identical to the liliputians but with a very different bassist. blake thomas was the bassist for thke. thke split up "over creative differences" in may of 2003, and to fulfill obligations to play some upcoming shows, they recruited ferret, who was conveniently staying at the fifields' house at the time, to fill in on bass. the trio's new sound was much different from when blake was playing bass. blake was(and still is) a classical bassist, at the time playing with the montgomery youth orchestra. ferret was, at the time, a rock guitarist. the helen keller experience had been a collective of 3 people with equal say in song-writing, and the early version of the liliputians was basically thke but they didn't play the songs blake primarily wrote/sang. the songs they did play were jason's thke songs, and quite a few new songs. the liliputians have never recorded, and probably never will; ferret is living in tuscaloosa now, going to UA. sam and jason both live in montgomery, jason's finishing up at AUM. sam's about to graduate highschool; after which he will take a year off to continue studying piano before applying to a few conservatories for further study of the instrument.however infrequent they play together, the liliputians can be brought together on short notice, and can bring an ever-changing evening of music that doesn't suck. or maybe it does suck? who knows?
