About Me
Meh, tis weird to try and describe yourself to that great stranger, the internet. Pride struggles with humility and ego blends with embarrassment and what results is a weird mesh of self-absorbed gobbledygook.
I love music, especially movie music (I was raised on it) and I have played flute for FOREVER and trombone for almost forever and wish I were better at drums. Used to play softball and do ballet, quit both in high school to focus on school and now wish I hadn't. I am a Christian; nominally Catholic (which means I think the Vatican can be stupid at times but my personal faith transcends such human failures) and I love and miss my hometown church and the people in it (especially the choir and my fellow choir babies!). I love my pets, three kitties and a puppy, and can't imagine life without them. I adore my friends and am loyal to a fault (and am often over supportive and encouraging which can lead you to want to smack me!) and can be waaaay too enthusiastic and obsessive about my favorite things. I don't do anything half-assed, so if I'm gonna be a fan of something, then dagnabbit I'm gonna be the biggest durned fan out there. (I can still quote the original Star Wars trilogy practically word for word.) I do however often have a relatively short attention span as far as fandoms go so I usually move on quickly. My apologies if I scare you with it. Feel free to roll your eyes at me. Bwahaha, I saw that!!!

What Disneyland attraction are you?
"it's a small world": The happiest cruise that ever sailed! Surreal and silly, or sweet and touching, you are a well intentioned 1960s homage to the world's diversity that unfortunatly inspires feelings of sheer terror in those who can't help but feel something more sinister lays beneath your shiny surface. But most cannot deny your charm, even if they cannot explain it, and leave feeling better than when they entered. Most overlook the fact that because of your unique style and design, courtesy of Disney Legend Mary Blair, you are a true work of art and you deserve to be appreciated. You are both worldy and simplistic, both cosmopolitan and decidedly middle American. You are a splendid candy-coated contradiction with a sugary, sunny song that one never forgets. If the world truly listened to your never-ending optimism, it could be a small world after all.

It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier,
Who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protestor to burn the flag.

'And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thou foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it"' -Monty Python and the Holy Grail

"They came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak up for me." - Martin Niemoller
