According to Webster's Dictionary a diva is defined as a glamorous and successful performer and/or personality. As I have grown to know myself and those around, what better word than diva to describe who I am and what I am about. Like most things in life, society exaggerates the negative and only praises the positive for few seconds. I am not a diva because I demand that others bow to my every call, I am not a diva because I feel like I’m superior to others, I am not a diva because I through "bitch fits." I am a diva because I simply recognize my potential, goals, and strength. I refuse to let anyone or anything stop me from reaching it. At the end of the day I’m still Kory, and that’s what makes the glamorous and successful personality as defined by Mr. Webster. I have all of the necessary tools that I need to achieve what I want in life. "Or destiny is no held within the stars, but within us."
