My Interests

Music, theatre, or any combination of the two; IMing while drunk; Raspberry beer; Sarcasm for pay; Dark chocolate Hershey kisses; Caffeine; Leaving my drinks unattended; Men with UK accents; British chocolate (British anything, really); Going to the mall to look at expensive things while sighing; Saying the f-word (but not typing it!); Alan Rickman, Clive Owen, or any combination of the two

I'd like to meet:

You. I've been waiting to meet you. I was born here, I grew up here, and I thought I'd die here. But now I've met you. My life can truly begin.

Music:

Keep in mind, I say all this without irony...classical music, especially opera, particulary the ones where people declare love then stab something; Celtic; whatever's playing on XPN; showtunes, all of them, I love it all...except maybe for Frank Wildhorn. I kind of want to punch him.

Movies:

The Harry Potter films (yes, even the Chris Columbus ones! I love every "Home Alone" scream, damnit!), Some Like It Hot, Lord of the Rings, Shop Around the Corner, A Christmas Story, West Side Story, Sabrina, Anchorman, American Beauty, Closer, Sideways, Moulin Rouge!, Waiting For Guffman and the rest of the Christopher Guest ouvre, Being Julia, Adaptation, whatever's playing on TCM at any given moment, anything with Alan Rickman. Anything.

Television:

House, Lost, Arrested Development (*tear*), The Office (both of them), I Love the 70s/80s/90s, Blackadder, Monty Python, The Young Ones, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, random crap on The History Channel, BBC America, Comedy Central, and Bravo! back when it was good.

Books:

Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, The Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde (that's not a typo; he's Welsh), The Harry Potter series, Sense and Sensability, A Tale of Two Cities, Bridget Jones' Diary, and...the Bible?

Heroes:

Eleonora Duse, Ethel Merman, crazy Sarah Brightman, Kate Winslet, Madelene Kahn, Tilda Swinton, Emma Thompson, Bernadette Peters, Jane Austen, Charlotte and Emily Bronte, Aphra Behn, Catherine Michon, I can't remember her name, but she was the mom in The Sixth Sense, and Alan Rickman.
