I'm a versatile, professional musician, suffering the challenge of finding a related career... in other words, most people would label me as being a bum ... they all get proven wrong.I finished my honours degree in June 2005... it took me 4 years to realise that I had wasted my time and money in a corporate shithole that doesn't know jack about modern music and standards... but the life experience i gained was priceless....My ambition is simple... to scrape through my youth, skint and determined until I find what i'm looking for...My current project is a funk/dance/psychedelic 5-piece band called Federation of the Disco Pimp (www.myspace.com/federationofthediscopimp)... it's a brave attempt at stamping out the vomit-inducing funtions band/pop infection that glasgow can't shake... it's been a challenging ride so far.. however, we're slowly but surely starting to wake the city up...I also play 'gay-jazz' with a local sweetheart called 'lou hickey' www.myspace.com/louhickey.. gives me a chance to work on my 'brooding bassist' effect, even though the lack of a guitarist pushes me up to 'kinda important' as far as the group's sonic impact goes!Music is my life, which means I am brutally selective, yet willing to give anything a chance... :-)
