About Me

back once again
Sat 15 September Risky Disco @ The Prince 10-4 £3
Move over Dixon – the original blue-eyed German house pin-up is in town! Following last month's Geordie invasion, Risky Disco welcomes Neurhythmics head honcho Juergen Junker for our September session.
Known to many as that thoroughly nice chap at Smallfish Records, Juergen established his production credentials on Mark Broom's Pure Plastic imprint before launching his Neurhythmics Recordings in 2001. Several releases on this label and remixes on Detroit Beatdown have generated an army of admirers, often drawing comparisons to the work of Detroit house luminaries Kenny Dixon Jnr. and Theo Parrish.
Juergen continues to pursue the Neurhythmics project with live shows and special dj sets across Europe. He is a regular fixture on the London club circuit with appearances at Spacebase, Lost and Hoxton Pimps. Expect a dynamic selection fusing house, disco, his own special edits and a healthy dose of Chicago jack.
Residents Slim and Rupi supply a blend of eclectic electric sounds… taking in Detroit, House, Cosmic and Italo, plus unreleased tracks from the Gak Foundation archives. Expect a varied musical selection, delivered on a Funktion-1 soundsystem, and of course, expect to dance!
Pub prices all night....
