__________________Hip Hop has been craving something new forever. The industry has changed and strong values have been forgotten. Soular Prominence has exploded on to the industry with a new sound that transcends higher dimensions in hip-hop._____
It exists as a five-man rap alliance consisting of Al Jabra, B1, Yusuf, Kane Major, and DJ Emoh. Soular was birthed in various bedrooms and basements in the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire during the late-1990s. Forming a bond based on the shared appreciation of real hip hop, the group originally began performing in Boston and Cambridge under the name Soular Winds in 2003. At this time they were among the first act used by Bostons number one promoter Edu Leedz and his new promotional outfit, Leedz Edutainment._____
Soular eventually shared the stage with Wu-Tang Clan members U-God and Killah Priest, Kool Keith, Cage, Murs, as well as numerous Boston acts, including local legend Edo G._____
When away from the stage, Soular spent all of 2005 locked in Kane Major's basement studio recording their debut release, "The Quiet Americans Mixtape", mixed and produced by Edu Leedz and hosted by Mr. Peter Parker of Hot 97.7 FM. The mixtape features some of Boston's best-known acts, such as T-Ruckus (Knights of the Roundtable), Rhetoric (Evil Dead), G Squared (The Kreators), Elemental Zazen and heavyweight producer Stu. The disc also included a guest collaboration with U-God of Wu Tang Clan called "No More Tearz" which has gained attention by fans worldwide._____
Along the way, the group teamed up with Dorchester rhyme veteran Al-Jabra, who appeared on the mixtape and invited Soular to appear on his own, "Class is in Session." In July 2006, Al-Jabra joined the group officially, bringing about the name change to Soular Prominence - which signifies the group as a powerful musical force._____
Apart from Boston and Cambridge, Soular has kept busy rocking shows all over New England. They are currently working on their sophomore release, tentatively titled "The Uncomfortable Silence". Songs have already been recorded with Lord Jamar (Brand Nubian), WitchDoctor (Dungeon Family), Bomshot (Devils Rejects) and Kno (Cunninlyguists). _____Now officially managed by Edu Leedz, they are members of U-Fam, a hip hop crew assembled by Boston record label CEO Starman Prince Islam, another longtime associate. "These guys eat, sleep, breathe hip hop no matter whats going on in their lives; to me thats who really makes it in this game. Drive is everything" says Edu Leedz, CEO of Leedz Edutainment. In a world where perception is reality, Soular Prominence envisions a greater purpose in hip-hop.
