About Me

Disc Jock, producer and drummer. Dance floor demolition specialist. Connoisseur/purveyor of World Class Boogie and Fine Funk. Vinyl historian. Innovator. General enthusiast. Blossoming yogi. Thinking man (I contemplate our collective existance on a daily basis). Existentialist? Intrigued by unique and obscure works of remarkable quality and the artists' genius that created them. Annoyed by trite, mundane bullshit and unoriginal copy-cats who typically end up getting all the money and fame. Self-proclaimed, hopeless romantic fool. Diagnosed, crazed yet benevolent insomniac.

Brenden Wesley - New Wave Hookers OUT NOW , exclusively on BEATPORT. COM !

This is the debut EP for one of Boston's up-and comers in the scene. Brenden has a unique vision of the sound and direction he wants to go; always delivering something that makes everybody's ears perk and body move. From Disco, House, Funk, Electro, Soul to Punk-Funk and edits from any source, this man has been making quite a stir in the Boston underground music scene. You can expect a lot more fresh and innovative dance tracks and edits from this rising star.
1. New Wave Hookers is a throwback to early eighties electro-disco, funk and post-punk with a whole new sound for the 21st century. The track is a passionate mix of Wesley's influences. He and production partner Robbie Roland combine techy rhythms, arpeggios, an infectious, heavy-grooving bassline and analogue synth stabs to make this a sure floor-funker. The French edit uses seductive French vocals to make loins tremble and girls (and guys) well, aroused.
2. Sleazy McQueen's French Tickler remix gives the track a complete overhaul. He takes the original and turns it upside down, resulting in a salacious, non-formulaic, deviant tech-house monster.
