Kristoffer Asknes

I was born in a tiny swedish town called Vadstena in 1981. Started playing the guitar at seven. Formed a band called Cadillac Boys (don't ask). Cadillac boys toured Sweden quite intense between 1990 and '95 with a couple of TV-shows and prestigious gigs on the schedule. Then I stopped playing for a couple of years but found music again. Dropped out of school to go play the bars in Copenhagen with a friend, Mats Lideborg . Did that for a while. I met many of my best friends during that period of my life. Those gigs led to Oslo and more gigs there. Loved Oslo after a few months there. Found a bunch of friends and my wife, Gry . In 2001 I got a phonecall from a guy I met in Copenhagen, Kristian Fjellstad . He wanted me in his band, Duluth. I joined the band as a bass-player and pretty soon we were on the road. In 2003 the band went to Texas for a month to record and gig. Four guys in a big house in Texas, with lots of beer, and a studio, and a jacuzzi. Did they have fun, you might ask yourself; go figure. Duluth also played Los angeles, London, Athens, Frankfurt, Stockholm etc. In Duluth there was a guitar-player, Frode Kvisvik , who I continued playin' with after the Duluth-times. I never felt such musical connection with anyone, period. We now have our own band called KEEF . We're writing/recording/gigin' as much as we can.See ya kids
