BEAST WARS NOW AVAILABLE!!

About Me

Try the BEST MySpace Editor and MySpace Backgrounds at MySpace Toolbox !Orlando emcee/lyrical beast Midaz has been cultivating his raw skills on the microphone for quite some time, developing a charismatic style unlike any other that has earned him the title of "your favorite rapper's favorite rapper." Though he may be a new name to those who have slept on his previous projects, one listen to his latest project, Beast Wars, shows that the man is no slouch- it's apparent that his explosive energy won't be contained for much longer. As one half of underground group BlakOut, Midaz has built a name for himself with his witty wordplay, invocative imagery, and frenetic freestyle ability, collaborating with the likes of Beretta 9, Supastition, Sabac Red, Hell Razah, Mic Geronimo, Killarmy (Wu-Tang), Louisville Sluggah (Boot Camp Clik), and more. Beast Wars finds Midaz letting loose in a nonstop lyrical assault that very well may break rewind buttons worldwide. Featuring production from Wu-Tang affiliate Beretta 9, Tempermental of Grey Matter, BlakOut partner Nemo, classic beats and today's hottest tracks alike, Beast Wars flows together like a mixtape occupied by the underground's most captivating writer. From the confessional reflection of the soulful "In My Life" to the conceptual "Bare All" to the critical "Essay on Black Music," Midaz truly is a beast and a force to recognize. If war truly is on the horizon for this young talent, Beast Wars is clear evidence that Midaz has been training for battle- and it's not looking good for the competition. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Amie Street Player -- 1. Beast Wars - The plan for this joint was to have Nemo make the beat for the title cut, although i wrote it to j dilla's 'Reckless Driving' instrumental off of Ruff Draft. I thought the lyrics of this one fit the beat so well, we decided to keep it as is. 2. Forever - This is a BlakOut track that i believe was gonna be in consideration for NightMusic but we liked it so much we let it leak. 3. Tekzilla - Me and my man Jonny Storm go waaay back. My first rap group actually consisted of me and Storm (Golden StormZ). So whenever we link up its crazy. We always both go hard. 4. Chapter 13 - This joint was originally a verse i dropped for a contest on the old neblina boards that i came in second place for. I always thought the verse was killer tho. 5. DOA - This is classic MidaZ and Vis Major. Vis and I have a real monster chemistry on cuts so when we sat down to rock out this U.N. beat it really came out dope. 6. Who Really Cares - When me and NeMo were working on the first Tales Of Suspense, we reached out to B9 to hit us with his brand of heat. Classic cut. 7. Marvin - I had just finished peepin new shit at hiphopgame.com when i wrote this. It was inspired by Killah Priests' Marvin freestyle. Plus i had some real thoughts to get off my chest. 8. Legal Coke - A remix of Raekwons 'Legal Coke.' Rae is my fav. emcee of all time and i kinda wanted to try to get on his level for a minute. 9. Khill Meets BlakOut - NeMo had set this joint up a while back with Khill for Khills mixtape he had at the time. Big ups to Khill for a crazy verse on this. 10. Trilogy - Beats like this bring out my dark side. Nuff Said. 11. Bare All - One of the few brand new cuts i created for Beast Wars. Bare All to me captures a real dope feeling often missing in todays hip hop. Late night music with a message. 12. Throws Some D's - I fuck with a lot of that south shit. The beat to this joint is crazy, so i just went in and had fun with it. 13. Slow Flow - I love the video to this track when Evidence is rocking the dead serious. I was rocking my dead serious as i wrote it trying to get into that mode. 14. Liquid Swords - Old freestyle i used to have on my myspace page over GZA's 'Liquid Swords.' 15. Old Folks, Young Cats - A real dope cut produced by my man Sharp. The full version Has TzariZM and Vis Major on it. 16. In My Life - Self explanatory. I found the Sample on a Kon and Amir tape and just rhymed over it true feelings. 17. Eternal - Classic BlakOut track that was hidden in the vaults. Joint is at least 4-5 years old. It was originally slated for NeMo and TzariZMs 'Strangaz' lp. 18. How Many Mics - One of the many dope remixes off of TzariZMs 'Beats To The Future' remixes project. This joint is a lot of peeps favorite joint off that project. TzariZM and myself had the ill connection between emcee style and producer beat on here. 19. Bronze Free - I had did this for my man Bronze Nazareth waay back like 4 yrs ago. One of my favorite verses tho. Thats a beat i can rhyme to forever. 20. Rock Co. Flow - At one point Vis and I were recording a track a day sometimes two or three. Our chemistry is that ill. This is one of many. 21. G Thang - I wanted to have something with a smother lighter feel on here and i felt like G Thang was the perfect instrumental to pull that out. 22. Listeners Forum - Neem and Blade doing what we do best. Old track. We literally concieved it and recorded it in 10 minutes. 23. Dropped Remix - A monumental track out in Orlando by Critical Madness. The whole track is a who's who out here. For Beast Wars i just wanted to give cats what i thought was a ill short verse from the kid. 24. Godz On Attack - First track we did with Beretta 9 some years ago. When we originally let it leak out, it spread through the net like a virus. 25. Essay On Black Music - Beretta had the loop and i was feeling it. I already had the verse in my stash so we just put it together. 26. Take Me With You - Another joint i did when i was with Killarmy in Ohio. A real smooth ladies cut. 27. Dinner Date - A lot of people ask me where i got the idea to this song. I couldn't tell ya. It wrote itself when i got the beat from Sharp.

Influences: MidaZ in the Orlando Weekly!! August 3, 2007 – 2:23 pm “In dire need of substance, I remembered Ozone Cypher, the hip-hop sidewalk sessions every Monday night at the vegan hot-dog stand by Lizzy McCormack’s. Sometimes beatboxers throw down, sometimes rappers, sometimes both. That night, an MC saved my life. Though a handful of rhymers dropped lines, the proceedings were led by the considerable talents of Midaz (of BlakOut) and AmIAm (of Beat Ministry and Vets of Kin). The rapid-fire extemporaneity required to freestyle makes it the summit in rapping, and these guys spat with water-tight lyrical architecture, rhythm and wit, all without a pause. Most notable music haps go down in clubs, but not all. Being of the people and by the people, grass-roots movements like Ozone Cypher take things back to the streets. These dedicated, informal gatherings provide the vital topsoil for hungry artists to bloom. Here, it’s all about cutting your teeth. No cover charge, no suckers. And downtown’s that much better for it. True hip-hop is still alive and it’s here on your sidewalk.”
