“JERRIN HOLT”, the name that means so many different things to so many different people. Where do I begin, I must first of all thank God to infinity for He has blessed me and given me more than enough tools to live a beautiful life and make an impact while I am here on earth. My family and my small selective group of opinions and advice (most would call them friends). I feel that I am many things. You can choose to experience the best mode of me that works best for you. I am all about freedom of expression, freedom of mind, body, and spirit. I also encourage Black people to read and open up books. Quit excepting your position and learn of old secrets that are locked inside of books. Knowing the facts is the perfect way to improve, adjust, and create new ideas. Therefore, you are forced to grow and move. Now it is up to you to choose in which direction you move. I personally, choose to move upwards to where the air is cleaner and less crowded. I send this notion and viewpoint of life here on earth to Black people. Because my mother and father are black, I hold my people dear to my heart. I am them and they are me. On a different note, I also encourage and wish positive change and prosperity to all races, creed and color. We are all in this together and it would be nice for everyone to fly at some point in their lives than to never fly at all. Those who know me best would describe me as open-minded, well rounded, a rebel, unafraid, and one of a kind. My biggest struggle has been the transition to break free from a Baptist upbringing and Southern mentality. I now choose to be religious in a realm of knowledge, faith, inquiry, good deeds and total praise of God. This is an unconventional method of religion that differs from my roots, but it works for me. I have been blessed and have grown closer to God in the process. I feel and see his presence more so today than I did a year ago. I also love people who are real. The type of people who will tell me what is wrong rather than tell me what is right because they feel that’s what I want to hear. Correcting/improving your weakness makes you a stronger winner and leaves a smaller window for mediocrity. So, if you come to find that we do not vibe, it’s more than likely your lack of understanding and closed mind set, than me being an a**hole. I just feel that I have life a bit more in focus than most because I have accepted that fact that I don’t know everything. I seek answers in every aspect of life and love rather than make the limiting choice to become an expert in one area. So where you may choose to “Fly or Die”, I choose to fly, run, walk, swim, crawl, jump, roll, bounce, spin, etc……. Catch my drift? I am not afraid to say that I am a good man. I love the idea and look forward to totally selling out and living for a wife and my kids one day. A total sacrifice and the choice to love her unconditionally, for she will be the force that drives me to be great!!!!! I have had my share and had my days and I am now growing in a direction where I choose to share my worth and success with someone who appreciates and deserves it. Being in the entertainment industry has given me the opportunity to date and meet the most beautiful women in the world of modeling, TV and film. The types of women most fantasize about and never have access to. You know the only thing that experience has taught me is just how lucky married people are who are comfortable and happy with their partners and their lives. My world consists of skeletons, secrets and an immeasurable amount of unhappy and insecure people. The most beautiful women in the world often are the most irrational, self-absorbed, torn, cold, distrusting and lost people I have ever met. That is the price of fame and beauty if you are not grounded, continue to stay humble, and know and love who you are. Therefore, my viewpoint of marriage and love is not about the superficial but rather the official. I need and want a cook, a maid, a sister, a mother, a friend, an employee, a boss, a caretaker of my children, a soldier, a whore, a general, a coach, a spiritual leader, a bodyguard, a cheerleader, a fan, a promoter, a critic, a giver, a doctor, an intellect, a visionary, a partner in crime, because I will be all the same things for her. However, by no means am I in a rush and will not try to force this on anyone. She will let herself be known or possibly return to me when the Lord sees fit. I am also very driven, focused and goal-oriented. I model, act and write full time and am currently preparing for the release of "Jerrin Holt: Mind of a Model", my debut book of shorts stories in poetic form. I have a voice, I have something to say and it will be said through my work and actions. I send a message of love and positive energy to create a natural high that can be only be conceived by the complex union of self-fulfillment, happiness, love, support, confidence, and the backing of God. Let’s see what else can I bore you with? I have never even sipped a single drop alcohol a day in my life, never!!!! My friends and I argue all the time because I am the only one who is anti-Starbucks. I have this crazy notion that it is just a legal drug house of caffeine addicted Americans. Starbucks sends this message that it is cool and hip to drink coffee and whatnot, when in actuality it fuc*s with the natural high of the body because it lifts you and then drops you and the only way to acquire that perk again is to spend more of your money at the Starbucks on the next corner. It is a conspiracy, a crutch and caffeine is bad for your health, but hell, who doesn’t have a problem or argument with something we all choose to do. Mine just happens to be Starbucks and so I choose to refrain and act against the norm and do not drink their caffeinated beverages. I do however, enjoy their ultra sugar induced cookies and the smell of Starbucks ha ha. OK enough about Starbucks, let’s see, what else? I absolutely love and thank God for the music of Prince, Kate Bush, Old School Soul/Funk, Miles Davis, Coldplay, and George Strait. These musicians and their music have allowed my mind to drift and penetrate areas I could not reach alone. They are my drug of choice when I travel outside of self and return to places I have been for the first time!!!!! Umm, I am not really on MySpace for lame reasons. I would love to network, stay in touch with old friends and promote me and my wondrous works ha ha. I have to give a shout out to Martha Burciaga. She is a fly Chica that I spent five of my most vulnerable and fragile years of my life with. The years that help shape the rest of your life and the years where you choose to either settle or reach beyond the unreachable. Well, I must say thank you because she could have chosen to be one of those girls who caused the downfall of a great man as many do to fellas who are in the 17-22 year-old age range. Instead, she jumped on the boat and helped me drive it and lead it out of a channel and into the vast space of the ocean. I appreciate her coolness, her interest, her support, and her time. For all that is to come and all that has come, she started the spark that has led to a full fledge fire. I wish her the best in love and life and encourage her to keep on keepin’ on. I definitely owe her props for making me man up and become the man that I am today. I must also give a special thanks to those with vision. Those who live their dreams with and through me. Those who make it their business to place me at the top, provide me with support, and present me with the opportunity to succeed and reach my goals. My family, Sondra Holt, Fleetwood, all my agencies, the cities of New York, Dallas and L.A., my fans, and last but not least my son Elijah Jay Holt!!!!!!! '08 is going to be a huge year for me, so stay tuned!!!!
