It begins and ends with Joss Whedon. Buffy is the only show I was so totally dedicated to. Angel was a close second, and my love for Jean Luc Picard makes Star Trek:The Next Generation (I do not use the ST:TNG as a true Trekkie would) three. Note:While I have yet to attend a Star Trek convention my love Robear and I did make the drive to Cleveland to see James Marsters (hotty!!!) at a Buffy-Con. Say it with me.....

Jeff Noon's Vurt and Nymphomation (cool down it's about mathematics). Still a huge nerd, I also enjoy Louisa May Alcott's A Long, Fatal Love Chase and anything that Gregory Maguire has written (I read him long before Wicked was a stage musical). CS Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia (the movie was a perfect adaptation!). Tried to get into Tolkien, but how many 5 page passages describing a hill can one stomach? I felt like it was summer reading again! World mythology and folk tales, cheesy romances, and cookbooks. Throw in some psych and philosophy and that about covers it. OH! And Carl Sagan's Contact. Changed my life. Lest I forget, Laurie Notaro. "We Thought You Would Be Prettier", "Autobiography of a Fat Bride", "The Idiot Girls' Action-Adventure Club", etc. This woman is a funny laugh-out-loud writer. She writes like I think/IM.
